Blessing
I got the privilege of driving for Dave and Amber 2 days in a row - I wish it was so much more. I wanted to share why the last 2 days have meant to me. First off I want to say to Dave - thank you. Thank you for saying YES to the dream when you first had it. What an amazing dream to be given and for you to share. Even more amazing in my eyes is not the initial YES you said - but was the YES you had to say everyday to get to where you are today. We all say YES but at times we have let the yes slide to a well maybe, well actually, well what I meant was .... but you got up everyday for the last year and said YES. YES to 325 (plus) KMS of walking, countless hours fundraising, even more countless hours of making people aware as to what you were actually doing and for who. And never once in the who - did I ever hear all for me. It was for others - and many you have never met or will ever meet. Remember that box has been blow way beyond the size you dreamt for it. I want to share how proud I am of you - you set a goal and every day (whether it was good or bad) you took one step closer to achieving that goal. You broke it down step by step (pun intended) and knocked each step off one at a time. What an amazing life time achievement to say say - God gave it to me as a possibility - I said yes - God gave to me a a passion, a dream - I said yes - God gave me the talent, resources and means to do it - I said yes - God brought me to the start and I said yes. You said yes to so much more that a 12 day walk. You said yes to the little girl in Guatemala who just heard about Jesus for the first time, you said yes to the mom who was at her breaking point and finally got some respite, you said yes to the dad who just brought home his first pay cheque in years in Ecuador. Dave you said yes to the employees of CH, and I say THANK YOU.
