The SOT join in on the fun...
So, feet to bricks around 7:45 this morning. However, the day started sometime hours prior. Members of the Senior Operations Team have joined Dave, Amber and Nina today. We’ll be driving, walking, gophering, and providing whatever the champions need to keep them moving. Patty wins the prize for being the first one up today… 3 am should never be the first digit for an alarm clock, but it was at Patty’s place this morning.. or was it 2? She joined Eugene in Dundas and they hit the road for Chatham, meeting Anita, Doug & Al on the 401 near London.
Doug & Al enjoyed the hospitality of Al’s mom for a slumber party to get a head start on the day before meeting up with the others at 6 (ok, just after). So Doug's day started yesterday when he left home for the 6 hour drive to London. We arrived at First Family Homes by 7 (ok, just after). Chipper Dave was excited and ready for the day ahead. Amber greeting us with a song, opened the day in prayer and off we went to the start just west of Chatham. We’re heading to (and apparently past) Tillbury today. It was pouring rain en route to Chatham, but so far (at 8:10) it’s a dry walk: Dave, Amber and Nina trekking westward along highway 2. Al's parked the van ahead and we're on to the day's first Timmy's run. More exciting updates to follow later (as in they'll be more exciting)
