Margo, Youtube, Crazy Rain and only 75 kms to go!

By far the craziest day yet!

Started walking by 7am, early in the morning we were joined by Janice and Theresa from Woodstock, Thank-you so much ladies, that's a long drive for some great encouragment! you both were such a blessing. Also along the way was Julie and Melody who treated us to some goodies, Awesome!

Then Margo arrived with Nina, Nina will tell more in her blog post, but just as they arrived the flood gates of heaven opened and we were hit hard with a rain storm. We knew it had to happen some time, Margo and Nina were reall troopers! Way to Go.

We got a chance to dry off at a home on Gregory Dr. and were treated with a fabulous lunch, Thanks Barb and everyone who helped her! It really was a boots for the rest of our day, not to mention drying our clothes, Wonderful!

A newspaper reporter stopped by, It is just great getting the word out there, letting people know why we are doing this, drawing attention to it!

And we Hit YouTube today. Thanks to Bill V, He put together a great clip.

Again, thanks to everyone behind the scenes helping to make this thing happen.
We are on target, the feet continue to hurt and legs sore, but we are getting there. it is hard to believe that tomorrow is Thursday!

Thanks

What a great day Dave!!! Thanks for the opportunity to share day 9 with you. Wow, so many memories!!!

A highlight from today:

Sharing our vision with the people of Chatham was probably my biggest highlight. The "Coffee Shop" is a powerful place. (I've learned from the wise, Amber, God bless her!!) Amber and I used the facilities at Tim Hortons and was drying her sweater, when we had a chance to talk with a couple of sweet ladies in the ladies room, and then while taping up her feet outside, we had a few kind gentlemen stop and ask us about what was going on! We received some wonderful encouragement from Brent, a fellow athlete / marathon runner, who shared his love for running and walking. Thanks for the encouragement brother!

Amber also connected with a man who was watching her rebandage her feet. Amber shared her story, and you could see in his eyes, the care he also has for people with exceptional needs and families who are in need of help. His heart immediately went out to the cause, and a moment later, he had his hand out his car window with a crisp unused 50 dollar bill. Thank you for stepping out in faith and generously donating to this cause. Honestly, your generosity inspired me.

After this first trip to "use the facilities", Amber and I returned with $65 from three generous people who saw this vision.

It is obvious that it is God's vision, and we are all a little piece of the puzzle. Praise God for calling each person, and praise God for the faithfulness of those who respond to his call.

These three people, who were getting their coffee at 8:30am at Tim Horton's in Chatham saw our vision. They knew that this is BIG, but little do they know that their faithfulness will impact the lives of a young man or woman in Ontario, Guatemala, and Ecuador who will grow up to be honourable citizens, healthy, and active in their communities, who will impact nations and change civilization as we know it.
