The Adventures of Nina
Well it has been a long day but a great one! Started out today walking with Dave & Amber through chatham with one of the ladies we support named Margo. We started at 11:00am at Teppermans in Chatham and walked until we reached Gospel Text, we stopped for a beautiful lunch at Kent 2 and then continued on our journey through Chatham until we reached Zellers, while we were trudging along the wheel on Margo's chair fell off.... we said a quick but important prayer and somehow managed to get it back on in no time at all!
Staff from Kent 4 picked Margo up at Zellers where her journey ended for the day. I am so proud of Margo, along with myself she has raised 700.00 for Daves Dash spending long hours at her day program requesting donations and from every person she meets, it has been a true journey for her with no reward but the satisfaction of knowing that she is helping people and "racing" with Dave!
As some of you may have read it is my anniversary.... yes... that is true... and yes.... I forgot... Just on that note I got home and received my anniversary card.... and it was signed " From Roger".... my husbands name is Darren.... I was confused. And then he gave me my anniversary gift..... One of the work gloves from Guatemala......It turns out that Darren had spoke with Dave and they had it worked out for Darren to win the bid on the glove at the Breakfast! So thank you Dave.... and thank you Darren.... and thank you Roger..... lol..... That glove means more to me than any shiny anniversary present ever could.
Walking towards Tilbury tomorrow Hwy 2! Come see us!
