Blogging from the Road - Day Seven

The forgotten GPS on the Roof of the Van, it lasted at least 1 km up there before I figured it out! I abviously am having problems with that thing!

Welcome Anita to the Day! Thanks for Driving - and for saving the GPS!

We're into the final stretch of the day. We stopped for lunch after completing 21.7 km by 11:45!

This morning we stopped in Melbourne at the Porthole Cafe for a morning break -- thanks so much for your support, the fried egg sandwiches for the walkers were great and sure hit the spot! Amber introduced herself to the men in the coffee shop, and of course there was a connection, they knew her father! Our world is small indeed.

After Melbourne we traveled through the "Wolf" family area along highway 2 -- thanks to Jim Wolf for stopping by to ask what this was all about -- and for his generous donation!

We took a drive into Dutton for lunch -- Amber's home town. Her Dad dropped by to wish us well and off we went again. The afternoon sun definitely heats things up. Please pray for healing for blistered feet, for both Amber and Dave. They are definitely troopers, but their feet are thinking otherwise.

It has been a privilege to spend the day with them and contribute in a very small way. I am in awe at their willingness to go beyond giving -- the sacrifice they make with every step is simply inspiring. Dave Amber, may you be blessed as you are a blessing to others. The sacrifice you are making is truly making a difference in the lives of many!!

Anita

I must have just missed you for lunch yesterday. Sorry.
Today you should be passing Fairfield Village. It's one of the richest, Godly pieces of Christian heritage in Ontario!!!
Stop at the museum if you have time. It was a Moravian mission.

HI Dave and Amber! I am sorry I missed you for lunch yesterday. I guess you left just before I got there at 11:45. Sorry.
Today you should be passing Fairfield Museum. If you get a chance, stop in and check out one of Ontario's greatest historical missions. It was a Moravian mission and one of the reasons Lord Simcoe choose London.
