a short blog tonight as I am spent!
we did 35 kms
this is how it went.
Amber and I started at 7 am, walked 16 kms to Nancy's church she joined us for her portion. She had about 30+ people supporting her on the walk from the church to Kuma cafe for a lunch BBQ.
Then individuals from Niagara arived and they joined for the 5 k journey through Alymer. Along with Tony and Martin!
Oxford - Duffern showed up again to support for the thrid day in a row, What a blessing.
Same with people from Sarnia - Thanks Troy! U Rock
we walked through Alymer, said goodbye to Niagara and Tony and on we went to St. thomas.
on the way, i really needed to pee (tmi???) so i hit the ditch, too exposed so I ran to the nearest trees (it was urgent) agian probably tmi? en route my gps left my belt and we spent easily half an hour looking for it. I felt really stupid! but I'm with a forgiving bunch.
On to St. thomas and ended some time around 430 i guess. I could not make it to st. thomas and stopped at 35 kms, a record!
reflecting on the day has been a very emotional thing for me. Nancy, her family and all of their community have been amazing. I consider it a miricle being witnessed, the passion and commitment, just phenominal!
having a shower now and going to bed. Ambers blister is still a problem, my foot rash is too along wtih the sun burn in a few small spots on my calf and ankle that are causing me problems. I currently have the sivers, hope a shower and some fluids along with a good sleep will help.
tomorrow starts at the tim hortons at talbot and first ave in St. thomas. Tomorrows drivers, please call me.

SO SO good to be in your midst for that short hour! And SO SO good to learn more of the work in Alymer! I bet this upcoming Sabbath rest will be one of the most welcome Sabbath rests you will have ever had. Praying for Amber's blisters, praying for the rash, sunburn and shivers. Praying for the physical and mental toughness that will be needed in greater measure in the upcoming days. Father is the gracious giver of these things, and he will do so in some way, shape or form. Dash on my friends for the Glory of God!
Lovin' the 100km mark!!
Go Dave, Amber and Jesus!!
Praying for you all and we will be thinking of you during the charity yard sale tomorrow raising funds for the Dash in Windsor!!
Love,
Every single one of the Essex Programs
