Day 5,

After a very rough night, we got going early in the morning and were walking by 7am again.

Some highlights

Amber had some friends from St. thomas join us for the first 5 k, MJ and Paulina (actually she had a different name, but I can't remember it) (edit - Sandi just reminded me her name is Colleen, Sorry Colleen, I just got going calling you Paulina and it stuck!) MJ and Paulina, join Sandi (my wife) , Amber and myself!

An early morning detour to
Jumbo in the morning. Read his stroy HERE

My Wife Sandi Also joined for the entire day, Way to Go Babe!!!!!! She was not only there today for every step of the 31K, but has been the biggest supporter, motivator, coach for this entire year. She has Sacrificed A lot for this walk! You are amazing Sandi

Sandi and Patti during a rest stop

And.... Allan, Neil and Linda joined for a run. Original plan was to leave later than we did and do 10 kms to catch up to us. they ended up doing about 18k, personal bests for some of them I understand. Awesome!

Allan couldn't handle reaching us second
so he turned up the heat on Neil!

Along with them was Alli - 8 years old. the video below tells her story! very inspiring.

Lunch was awesome, supplied by subworx from Waterloo. Tim - you were a true blessing to us with the lunch today! thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!!!!

We ended the day at 31 kms, to make a to date total for 159! Almost half way!

Driver today was Patti, Thanks Patti for sacrificing your Saturday to be with us, and to your Hubby Syd! Sorry the van A/C wasn't working :( just joking it was working just fine, I just took the opportunity at one stop to turn it off, put the heat to high and the fan to high as well.

Len was our driver in the morning hours before Patti arrived, Thanks Lenny Baby!

ONLY 178 to Go!

couldn't miss an opportunity to drop something off at Steve Peters Office, MPP, Speaker of the house. Mr. Peters has been a great advocate for support issues in not only his area but for the province. Sorry we missed you Mr. Peters!

Amber's Blister! it's causing problems,
but she's hanging in there!

This is the second Princess auto we have walked by,
and I can't take the time to go shopping.
for those who know me know this is one of the hardships of this journey.

just couldn't resist posting this - Go Allan Go!!!!

Thanks to everyone who was involved in today! Thanks Megan for delivering the new shoes, sorry I was in bed and couldn't greet you!

I'm with Neil, the camera adds at least 10lbs (I hope). What a great day!!! Wish I could walk more days with you guys...but I don't think I'd want to do the entire 325K!!! You two are amazing! I loved every minute of the day I spent with you walking maniacs! I can't stop telling people about you guys and your incredible journey. Take good care of those blisters guys...I'll be praying!
